Career Direct was developed to help people find fulfilling, purpose-driven careers that align with their natural abilities. Co-founder Larry Burkett saw that many struggled in roles that didn’t suit them, and he envisioned a tool to help individuals make informed, data-based career decisions.
Unlike many career assessments that focus on just one or two traits, Career Direct takes a holistic approach — exploring four key dimensions: personality, interests, skills, and values. It also considers stress and financial management factors.
Through its certified career consultant model, participants receive personalized interpretation and guidance, making Career Direct one of the most comprehensive career guidance tools available.

Although the assessment is stable over time, life experiences and education can shift certain results. For major career decisions, it’s best to rely on current data—just as one would prefer a recent X-ray over an old one. Consulting a Career Direct Consultant can help determine whether retaking the assessment would be beneficial. Our strongest recommendation is to retake the assessment if more than five years have passed since your original assessment date.
